AMPOL Names Bergeron and Lott Insulation Specialists
American Pollution Control Corp. (AMPOL), a leading oil spill response and total environmental solutions provider, has named Kevin Bergeron and Jeremy Lott Insulation Specialists, announced CEO Kirk Headley.
Bergeron and Lott will both be based out of AMPOL's New Iberia facility. Their responsibilities will include insulation preparation, installation and service. Combined, Bergeron and Lott bring more than 42 years of experience to AMPOL.<READ MORE> |

OSBORS Featured in Technical Paper Co-authored By Oil Stop
AMPOL's OSBORS (Oil Stop Bottom Oil Recovery System) was featured in a technical paper presented by the USCG R+D Center at the International Oil Spill Conference. The paper, presented by Kurt Hansen, was co-authored by Leo Guidroz of Oil Stop. The paper featured all three systems that were awarded R+D contracts. The International Oil Spill Conference contributes to and enables a culture of preparedness within the oil spill response community, the broader field of incident management, and society as a whole.

Oil Stop's Leo Guidroz Invited to Serve on International Committee
Leo Guidroz of Oil Stop has been invited to serve on the International Committee for the Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition (LAGCOE) for a second year in a row. Active in international sales and marketing efforts for both AMPOL and Oil Stop, Guidroz says he is honored to participate in such a worthwhile industry endeavor and he looks forward to working with the committee in the year ahead. |

Oil Stop Supplies Boom for Barges Headed to Alaska
Crowley Maritime Corp. is deploying two new double-hulled, combination deck cargo and tank barges in Western Alaska. The barges were specifically designed for the rigors of Western Alaska, with the highest priority given for the safety of the personnel and the environment. So, of course, Oil Stop was chosen to supply the containment boom (500 feet per barge) with anchor systems for the two barges. <READ MORE> |
